“Enter Corridors” investigates the interspatial and intertemporal connections of marine habitats, tracing the entanglements between human and non-human organisms, natural and built environments, and the ecologies that bind them. Through a multiscalar approach to space and time attuned to the correspondences between the microscopic and the macroscopic, the distant past, the urgent present, and speculative futures, the project asks: What forms of biological, geographical, historical, and political connectivity already exist? Which ones must be brought to the surface, and which still remain to be imagined? – Lara Tabet, 2025
Land Inventory
Sound conception and composition for an installation by Nathalie harb / 2024
First Presented at Sole DXB
13-15 December 2024
Land Inventory is an immersive, multidisciplinary sound installation that captures the essence of Lebanon’s cultural and natural heritage, focusing on what remains, what has changed, and what might be lost. Through a series of curated inventories—the South of Lebanon's flora and fauna, the domestic objects of homes in Beirut, the smells and sounds of Tyre, and the temples of Baalbek—the installation explores the ongoing effects of war on Lebanon’s landscapes
and people.
The project transposes Beirut sonic environments to a here and now through a composition of musician Youmna Saba, using recordings collected by Emmanuel Zouki during film shoots in Lebanon. These sounds, ranging from piano playing at home to natural environments and the remnants of daily life, form an intimate portrait of life before the war. Accompanying the sound is a text that describes the loss of cultural and natural landmarks, with a map highlighting the areas most affected by the conflict.
